Introduction of the ERP system “Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC”

The decision to switch from proprietary software to standard ERP software was a groundbreaking one.

Before

The company was stuck in the digital Stone Age and severely hampered by an ERP system it had developed itself. Only a few of the company’s core processes were covered correctly, efficiently, or legally. The system could no longer keep pace with the company’s growth.

Implementation

With our partner TRIMIT and the industry add-on of the same name for textiles, the project was successfully implemented within around two years with both internal and external support. All existing processes were reviewed, some were modernized, and then fully integrated into BC. From logistics, purchasing, and financial accounting to other interfaces with newly introduced systems (e.g., Shopware e-commerce web shops). The go-live went smoothly without interruption and was followed by a hypercare phase.

QM system ISO 9001 “SharePoint file management”

As part of the customer’s implementation of ISO 9001, it was necessary to refresh the outdated Windows Explorer file storage system.

Files stored in an audit-proof manner.

For a company that wanted to efficiently digitize its existing ISO 9001 quality management system, we developed a modern document management system (DMS) based on Microsoft SharePoint. Since the platform was already being used informally and provisionally for other tasks in the company, the solution could be implemented without additional license costs. Clear versioning and standard-compliant approval processes now guarantee audit-proof management of all QM documents.

By using Microsoft Power Automate, approval processes have been seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Teams, allowing changes to be approved quickly, transparently, and conveniently for employees. Role-based permissions ensure that employees only have access to the documents and versions relevant to their role.

The result is a streamlined, reliable, and user-friendly system—not only for the in-house quality manager, but for the entire workforce—that supports the entire lifecycle of all QM documents and significantly reduces administrative effort.
